Welcome to NiceResume (“we,” “us,” or “our”), operated by Leonel Flores Ruiz, an individual residing in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the NiceResume website at niceresu.me and its web application (the “Service”).

By accessing or using NiceResume, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not access or use the Service.

1. Description of the Service

NiceResume is a web application for creating resumes (CVs) in the Harvard format. With paid access, you can:

  • Write and edit resumes, and adjust font, text size, spacing and margins.
  • Add, rename, hide and reorder sections, including custom sections you create.
  • Save your resumes to your account, and edit, duplicate, download or delete them at any time.
  • Download your resumes as PDF files.
  • Use the ATS check: a 0–100 score and a checklist that rate how well your resume is structured for applicant tracking systems.

NiceResume currently offers one resume template (the Harvard format) and does not include artificial intelligence features. The Service is a resume builder: it does not write your resume for you.

2. Accounts and Sign-In

Your account is created when you complete your purchase, using the email address you enter at checkout. You sign in with the Google account that uses that same email address. You are responsible for keeping your Google account secure and for all activity that happens under your NiceResume account.

Your access is personal. You may not share, resell or transfer your account to anyone else.

3. Payment, Lifetime Access and Refunds

3.1 One-Time Payment

Access to NiceResume requires a one-time payment of $20 USD. There is no subscription, no recurring charge and no free trial: you are charged when you buy. Your bank may convert the price to your local currency and may charge its own fees.

Payments are processed by our third-party payment processor, Stripe. We never see or store your card number or banking details.

3.2 What “Lifetime Access” Means

“Lifetime access” means you can use NiceResume for as long as the Service remains commercially operational and available, without paying again. We may improve, change or remove features over time. If we ever decide to shut down the Service, we will give you reasonable notice so you can download your resumes.

3.3 7-Day Money-Back Guarantee

If you are not satisfied, you can get a 100% refund within 7 calendar days of your purchase, with no questions asked. To request one, email [email protected] from the address you used to buy. Once the refund is issued, your access to the Service ends. See our Refund Policy for the full details.

4. Your Content

“Your Content” means everything you put into NiceResume: the text of your resumes, section names, formatting choices.

  • You own Your Content. We do not claim any ownership of it.
  • Limited license to us. You give us permission to store, process and display Your Content only as needed to run the Service for you (for example, to save your resumes, show the live preview and generate your PDF). We do not sell Your Content or use it for advertising.
  • You are responsible for Your Content. You confirm that the information in your resumes is yours to use and does not infringe anyone else’s rights. You are responsible for the accuracy and truthfulness of what you write.
  • Keep a copy. We work to keep your resumes safe, but we recommend downloading a PDF of any resume you depend on.

5. ATS Tools

The ATS score is a guidance tool. It is based on general checks of your resume’s structure and content. Real applicant tracking systems and recruiters each work differently.

We do not guarantee that using NiceResume, or getting a high score, will get your resume past any applicant tracking system or result in an interview, a job offer or any other outcome.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for anything unlawful, fraudulent or misleading.
  • Try to access other users’ accounts or data, or our systems, without permission.
  • Disrupt or overload the Service, including through automated scripts, scraping or attempts to get around our rate limits or security checks.
  • Copy, resell or redistribute the Service, its template or its code.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules. If we do so without a valid reason, we will refund your payment.

7. Intellectual Property

Apart from Your Content, all text, graphics, interfaces, the resume template design, logos, trademarks and code of the Service are owned or licensed by Leonel Flores Ruiz. You may use the resumes you create with NiceResume freely, for any personal or professional purpose. You may not copy, reproduce or distribute any other part of the Service without our prior written consent.

References to the “Harvard” resume format describe a widely used resume style. NiceResume is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Harvard University.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that:

  1. The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free.
  2. The ATS score will reflect how any specific applicant tracking system, employer or recruiter will evaluate your resume.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Leonel Flores Ruiz, NiceResume or its affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenues, employment opportunities, data, use, goodwill or other intangible losses, resulting from:

  • Your access to, use of or inability to access or use the Service;
  • Any loss or corruption of Your Content;
  • Any decision made by an employer, recruiter or applicant tracking system about your resume.

In no event shall our total aggregate liability exceed the amount you paid us for the Service ($20 USD).

Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived by contract.

10. Ending Your Use of the Service

You can stop using NiceResume at any time and ask us to delete your account by emailing [email protected]. What happens to your data when you do so is explained in our Privacy Policy. Deleting your account after the 7-day guarantee period does not entitle you to a refund.

11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the federal laws of Mexico and the laws of the State of Jalisco, Mexico, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, unless the consumer protection laws of your country of residence give you the right to bring a claim in your local courts.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated versions will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. If a change materially affects your rights, we will notify you by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
